Two-channel video installation

In the two-channel video installation, found footage from the German Bundesarchiv is condensed into a dense stream of historical imagery. How are human beliefs, political and ideological views negotiated in public spaces? How do they become materialized as statues and memorials, while simultaneously revealing their constant state of change? In the center of this interrogation lies the continuous renegotiation of ideas through dynamic social struggles. By juxtaposing and compressing the archival images, the installation explores how immaterial notions take on visible form, only to be reshaped again and again within ongoing processes of transformation.
